About the character:

Camila Polizzi is a political activist and former mayoral candidate of Concepción, Chile. She is currently being investigated by the Regional Prosecutor’s Office of Biobío for her alleged involvement in corruption crimes for having rented the En Ti Foundation to achieve a $ 250 million agreement with the Regional Government. The case has been called “lingerie case” because among the expenses justified by Polizzi were receipts for purchases of underwear, as well as garments from prestigious brands, dinners in restaurants and delivery vouchers. Polizzi was born in Concepción, where she studied Psychology, but left her university studies after having two daughters. She defines herself as a “self-taught person” and has taken courses in music, theater and other disciplines. She also has a past as a model, a hobby she acquired when she lived in Rosario, Argentina, during 2010. Polizzi’s fame arose in 2019, when she made videos of political satire on her social networks, type “stand up” comedy. The recordings made her a public figure with hundreds of visits, which prompted her to her political aspirations. In 2021 she ran for mayor of Concepción as an independent with a quota from the Broad Front and Comunes. In the election she obtained 6,559 votes, 8.28% of the total electorate, which was the fourth majority and was not elected. Later she ran for deputy for the Radical Party in the New Social Pact coalition, although she also failed. Since 2022 she works in Barrio Norte, which seeks greater security and recovery of spaces.
