这是群星再世第九十二期，以后会不定期出去世的群星Lora，以纪念他们。
李名炀祖上是曾国藩麾下军师，湖南贫穷家庭出身，为了吃洋学堂的救济，从小在教会学校里学了一口流利的英文。他曾经是鲁迅的学生，在鲁迅创办的青年木刻班里习得手工技术。在贵族名校圣约翰大学里担任了19年的体育系主任。1949年，李名炀随家人到了香港，并创建了驰名一时的“李氏公仔”品牌，专门生产中国风的椰菜娃娃。两次收获台湾金马最佳男配角大奖，却因为自己不以拍电影为追求，从来未曾去领奖。一生未婚，也没有子女。一个基督徒，却从来不去做礼拜，只是把节省下来的钱拿去买糖果奶粉，送到越南难民营里，教那里的孩子说英文，做手工。
他的演技非常接地气，让人感觉这个可爱的小老头根本就不是在演戏，而是切实生活身边的爷爷。 当两个小家伙惹他生气时，他会开口便骂“王八羔子”；当“小文”失恋的时候，他会穿上女装作怪，逗他开心；还会把牙套给“达叔”为自己剃头，令人喷饭……
一个偶然的机会，一个不经意的微笑，一个有意无意的摄影师，开启一个垂暮老人的演艺故事。当这名摄影师将李名炀微笑的照片做成明信片四处发售时，李名炀一时间成了明星，而他的笑容，则被赞评为“香港的微笑”。
2008年，李名炀病逝，享年91岁。
