这是群星再世第六十五期，以后会不定期出去世的群星Lora，以纪念他们。
王天林，香港著名导演，监制，导演王晶的父亲，导演杜琪峰的师傅，1947年由叔父王鹏翼引领进入影视圈，先后做过冲印、录音、场记、助导等工作。1950年导演了首部电影作品《峨嵋飞剑侠》，之后开始一发不可收拾，经典电影无数，后来更是被称为香港“影坛教父”。
除了这些影视作品外，他也捧红和培育了很多优秀影视人才，1976年还是“排骨”的郑少秋就因为王天林的赏识才主演了经典电视剧《书剑恩仇录》，也因此剧，郑少秋一炮而红，后面《楚留香》也是王天林的作品。跟郑少秋情况类似的还有汪明荃，汪明荃的前期三部作品《书剑恩仇录》《京华春梦》《万水千山总是情》都是出自王天林之手。
王天林是开启TVB黄金时代的影坛教父，一辈子爱惜羽毛，在嗜赌如命欠下一屁股债的老婆面前，他也没有动过要接商业片的心思。虽然战功累累，但王天林并不快乐，经常深夜痛哭，在艺术和商业之间苦苦挣扎。
2010年，王天林因病去世，享年83岁。
